My first wedding in South Georgia! Part 1

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of attending Stephanie and Jeremy’s wedding in Valdosta, GA. I was actually not the photographer but a guest, but I did ask permission to bring my camera for after all it would be the first wedding I ever went to in South Georgia and also on a farm. So i got super snap happy and took way to many pictures but I could not help myself for everything was just lovely, unique and so Jeremy and Stephanie. I especially loved Stephanie riding up to the wedding on the back of her daddy’s tractor! I posted these on my facebook photography page not to long ago, but also wanted to post them here to share with everyone who is not on facebook!

Brady & Jenna Married Preview – Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Today, Brady and Jenna were married in Carrollton, Georgia at King’s Chapel Presbyterian Church. Below are a few quick previews from the wedding today, more to come!

Brady and Jenna’s time together during their First Look praying together. May we continue to pray for them and their marriage to be strong! It was such a privilege to be able to sit back and watch Brady see his bride for the first time, then to see Jenna see her groom, they both glowed with excitement and can see their love for one another. I had to fight back the tears as Brady just gazed at his bride, the joy in his face was priceless!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this image, I love the warm earth tones and Brady’s sweet tender kiss upon his bride’s forehead. I think this would be an AWESOME canvas print!

She said “YES!” – Jeff & Mary Elizabeth Engaged – Atlanta Marriage Proposals

Jeff & Mary Elizabeth have a passion for living and serving over seas. Mary Elizabeth has spent the past year living in Asia and arrived back in the USA just a few days ago.

Even though they lived on other sides of the world, they would still have regular dates, Jeff tells me Mary Elizabeth’s favorites were when they would plan walks “together” each in their own part of the world connected by phone. This walk however, would be extra special!

They both counted down the dates Mary Elizabeth would return to the USA. However, Jeff had “go to Michigan” for a work or so he told Mary Elizabeth. Little did she know, Jeff had been planning this day for four months, everyone in the world knew of his plans…but her. Jeff was actually in Atlanta the entire time.

Jeff had orchestrated his master plan with the help of many people. He had her debrief meeting set at a certain time, his mother came in from NYC, her mother and sister arrived from out of state, the ring was purchased, a friend to guard the gift table until she came, a photographer (aka me) hired to hide out in a bush to document the evening , a video was made and a phone date arranged. The plan was for the to go on a walk and talk on the phone along the way.

Jeff arrived at the little park where he planned to propose early to set up the table…had to make some quick adjustments to the plan as the weather started turning, but he kept calm…ok well he started pacing back and forth on the banks of the ponds, but really did a good job at keeping his cool.

Mary Elizabeth was so tired, after all she did just fly half way around the world only a few days ago, the weather started turning complete with thunder and lightening all around! Meanwhile, he continued talking with her while pacing back and forth on the banks of the pond nervous….he began to think she was not going to come but somehow he talked her into going on the walk.

To watch most of the event unfold, I created an animoto video, which is below. Animoto is an appropriate way for me to share their engagement story with you as Jeff made an animoto video that Mary Elizabeth watched as her third gift on her “walk”. At the end of the video, it said “turn around”, which you will see her turn complete with her surprised and tearful reaction when she discovered, Jeff was behind her. They met on the dock out of site of my video camera, but the stills helped fill in the gaps of the video.

Chris & Cecilia’s Wedding Preview Part 1: Frogtown Cellars Weddings

Chris and Cecilia were married on May 30 in Dahlonega, Georgia at St. Luke’s Catholic Church followed by an amazing reception at Frogtown Cellars. Despite the bit of rain on and off through out the day, their wedding was amazing! Family and Friends came from near and far to attend such a joyous celebration! Congratulations Chris and Cecilia, may the Lord bless you as you adjust to your new home in Boston!

Two minutes after we get to the edge of the vineyard for portraits, the rain drops started to fall hence the reason why the ladies look like they are about to run off. Thankfully, umbrellas were on hand for the ladies to seek cover on Frogtown’s lovely covered porch. Despite the rain, we adapted and sought portrait opportunities under cover.

Atlanta Wedding Photography: Josh & Wendy’s Wedding Montage

I have already posted some of the images from Josh & Wendy’s wedding, but I wanted to share with you a slideshow that gives you a picture of their full wedding day. Another reason I wanted to post this is for Josh and Wendy as they have been separated since the end of their honeymoon. Wendy is waiting for her visa so that she can move to England to be with Josh. Wedding Album Layouts

This week I have focused my photography office hours on designing Abe & Jeni’s Wedding Album. I have to say I have learned a lot this week about album layouts, but it is so much fun going back over their portraits and creating a story of their special day as I layout their album.

Photog’s: what have you found to be your favorite type of album? What about deign? Do you design on your own or have a designer do it? I would love your feedback and thoughts on albums.
