Dance Portrait Session with Becca – Atlanta Dance Portraits

Dance is such an interesting art form to me. I personally have no moves in my body that I would dare do in front of another unless it is in the form of a Wii Dance game, Regardless of my lack of dancing skill, dance itself captivates me. The movement and the lines the human body makes as it moves in motion to music, a story or even in silence is beautiful and what an amazing expression of creativity!

The image above is a Atlanta Modern and Contemporary dance, Becca. Recently, Becca and I had the opportunity to put our creative gifts together for a dance portrait session. The above above is my favorite of the session. To achieve this portrait, I used a lighting technique I have been practicing and this image was actually her reflection in a large mirror!

Becca thank you for a super fun session and you are amazing dancer! I can not wait to show you more images!

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of attending Stephanie and Jeremy’s wedding in Valdosta, GA. I was actually not the photographer but a guest, but I did ask permission to bring my camera for after all it would be the first wedding I ever went to in South Georgia and also on a farm. So i got super snap happy and took way to many pictures but I could not help myself for everything was just lovely, unique and so Jeremy and Stephanie. I especially loved Stephanie riding up to the wedding on the back of her daddy’s tractor! I posted these on my facebook photography page not to long ago, but also wanted to post them here to share with everyone who is not on facebook!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Hughes!

Over a year ago I photographed Stephane’s baby shower, so it was exciting to now photograph Isabelle’s first birthday party. Below are just a few of the images of a fun afternoon. The video below is from a bat mitzvah I photographed here in Atlanta earlier this year. (You may remember the images from my old blog.) Even though I already posted these images, I wanted to redo the slide show for the family. I like the portraits a lot because of the wonderful stained glass at Temple Kol Emeth.
