What is it Wednesday?

Hello Everyone,
I hope this post finds you well. I will be updating the blog more in the next few days, so be sure to check back. It has been a rather crazy week for me thus far so I wanted this week’s edition of What is it Wednesday to be of one of my favorite all time images. I will share with you on Thursday about what this is one of my favorite images when I announce this weeks winner of What is it Wednesday.

This week, the picture is not something difficult to figure out, but rather I want you to comment on what comes to mind when you see this image, what does this image communicate to you?

You have until Thursday to leave your comments below to win either a print of this image or a pack of my greeting cards (it will be the winner’s choice). One person will be selected at random from all the comments received. If you don’t see your comment publish immediately it is because I have to approve them first, this is to prevent spam.

vladimir - searchg for a “diamond” after a strong wave, the one grain of wisdom sand in all the mundain milions. Vlad:)

Carrie Buff - What a beautiful image. I think of India. I think about how children take their shoes off and feel the sand between their toes no matter what part of the world they live in.

Anna - It makes me think of freedom, and of simple joys. For some reason it makes me think of the C.S.Lewis passage about how we so often settle for making mudpies in the slums of the city because we can’t even contemplate what is meant by the offer of a trip to the seashore. This little guy knows what it’s all about! Lose those shoes and feel the simple pleasure of sand between the toes!

Craig - What does it make me think of?
“Take off your shoes; you’re standing on holy ground.”

Jessica - “How blessed are the feet of those who bring good news.”

Andrea - That is a little boy on the beach in India when you went in 2007 for 3 weeks for tsunami relief.
Thiruvananthapuram!

Mignon - Andrea is correct except that this was taken at Muttom Beach in Kadiaputnam.

Audrey simpson - The curiosity and hunger for knowledge of an innocent child.
