Bobbi Jo Brooks Photography bio picture

About Me!

Hi, I'm Bobbi Jo!  Welcome to my blog.  Writing is one of my least favorite things in the world and I speak through photographs, but here are a few things about me:

  1. I am passionate about photography.  Actually, I even say that photography is my love language.  Yes, silly, I know, but it is true! With a camera in my hand, I love to explore the world, capturing life and beauty as they unfold before my lens, which is an extension of my eyes.  Then I greatly enjoy sharing images I capture with others.
  2. I love to travel, exploring each unique place and culture I visit.  I often do not stay put for too long. So, please, if you have an interest in hiring me for your wedding or portrait session and you do not live in Atlanta, do not let that hinder you from considering me.  My travel agent is on speed dial!
  3. With my love for travel, I also enjoy international foods.  I even love to prepare international food for large groups.  Chicken curry is my favorite dish to share with others.  A few weeks ago, I made it for sixty people and it was yummy! If you like international food as well, perhaps we should plan your wedding or portrait session over your favorite international dish!
  4. I am down to earth and approachable.  I also love details and want to make each wedding and portrait session unique, reflecting back your personality, interests, and special moments of life.  I look forward to getting to know each of my clients.  Oftentimes clients become friends, which is a treat!
  5. Photo of me taken by my dear friend Jana Barker!

Lovely Tulips

BJB_9489-556REVINE10by6

I LOVE flowers, my favorite is Gerber Daises (in case anyone ever wants to get me flowers), but I also love tulips. Perhaps my love of tulips came from living in Michigan or perhaps it was my doctrine class (haha theology connection TULIP/5pt Calvinism) but for whatever reason I love their simplicity and color! Currently, I am also falling in love with learning about other art forms and using textures to create various of my photographs. I am testing out various fine art papers and will soon be moving into another art media that I will only reveal after I attempt it a few times, assuming it works :-) , but in the mean time the image above is the result of photographing tulips on my desk then applying this awesome texture layer.

“Lovely Tulips” is available for purchase on various sizes, canvas and paper types, if interested in purchasing leave send me a message.
